Indigo Dyed Bamboo Rayon Silk Robe
Equal parts science and art, indigo is the Earth's only true blue. For thousands of years, artisans have mastered the art of extracting this rich pigment from one of nature's most elusive plants. In our bamboo rayon robes, we fuse two timeless techniques - Balinese rayon weaving and Japanese shibori dyeing - to bring you the most luxurious (and hassle free!) robe you will ever own.
Our 100% bamboo rayon robes are sustainably woven and sewn in Bali in the traditional Balinese technique. Then, they are dyed in our studio in a small batch of natural indigo following the Japanese shibori tradition, making them completely handmade and one of a kind.
The fine print: This ultra soft rayon has the drape and soft feel of buttery silk, while still being machine washable and dryable. It is comfortable and cozy, and incredibly stylish - wear it as a robe, a kimono, or a beach cover up. It folds up so easily to take with you wherever you go, and impresses as a gorgeous gift. All items were dyed using the same batch of indigo, and dye patterns will vary.
